Enermax Uber Chakra
Enermax Uber ChakraContinuing our giant fan theme, a new case arrived from Enermax awhile back. The Uber Chakra is yet another PC case that sports a 25cm fan. Perhaps this is the continuation of the trend we first saw in the Thermaltake Armor series and has its roots beginning with the first cases sporting 120mm fans, or even fans all together. This is no doubt in concert with the ever increasing power and wattage wielded by enthusiast or even midrange gaming PC's. Perhaps this a proverbial sign of the times. Lets see how the Uber Chakra stacks up.

Enermax Infiniti 720 Watt
Enermax InfinityAn Enermax Infiniti 720 Watt power supply arrived last week and by the beard of Krom, we are going to review it. Enermax is no stranger to high wattage PC power supplies. In fact, they were the first to break the 1000 watt mark with their Galaxy series. I still have a hard time excepting the need for these wattage behemoths, which are apparently necessary for today's hardware. Gone are the days of  250 or 350 watt PSU's being sufficient for a gaming PC. Now we need twice the power! Especially when a single high-end video card can draw 250-300 watts at full load! Let see if the Infiniti 720 can hold up to today's demanding PC platforms.

Lets see how this Aussie named slithering menace stacks up!

Alienware's Area-51 7500
Alienware's Area-51 7500 Sterilize the equipment! Another Alienware sample arrived last month for the prying eyes of HW.com. Indeed we are honored, if not completely in a state of giddiness, to receive "bleeding edge" technology samples such as the Alienware Area-51 7500 desktop, that sports the 3 currently hot items in PC gaming: Intel's QX7600 Quad Core CPU, Nvidia's 8800 GTX video card, and Nvidia's 680i motherboard, not to mention many other goodies. We were rather impressed with the performance of their Aurora Flagship SLI laptop, but not so much with its food preparing heat. How will the Area-51 7500 fair? Read on for a complete dissection in our 1st Alienware PC autopsy to find out!
